Dear Honeymilk Moms,

Honeymilk nursing bras were inspired by my mom: Phyllis. She has been a professional bra-fitter since I was young. She taught me about looking after myself, both as a woman, and later on as a mother. Who knew I would end up loving bras as much as her?

I remember going for my first bra-fitting. I was twelve, and developing quickly - my ease with professional fittings was many years down the road - at the time all I remember was deep embarrassment. Under the guise of a "ladies lunch", my mom drove me to a store outside our town to give me the space to discover on my own that a bra-fitting is nothing to be scared of. She then proceeded to handle the whole situation with such aplomb that my embarrassment gave way to a growing confidence.

Without her I would not have had the courage to go after my dream of supporting other women. Like all the best mothers she can be both tender and fierce - encouraging always, prodding when needed. She is a constant source of support and inspiration to me on my own mothering journey.

Honeymilk is about celebrating and supporting strong mothers everywhere, starting with ourselves.
